Principal Software Engineer

Take the lead in designing and building the next evolution of SeeControl On Demand. Become a primary developer for major components within this SaaS service, both new and existing. Work together with the rest of the engineering team to develop new features and functionalities, as well as helping with maintenance and operations support.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the architecture, process model and data model for major components of SeeControl On Demand
  • Mentoring and supervision of other team members as required
  • Improving the development process, performing code reviews, and ensuring high product quality
  • Providing production support as required

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent
  • Software development experience, with a proven track record of designing, building and maintaining scalable and robust software systems
  • J2EE and Java experience, strong knowledge of Java/J2EE technology and best practices
  • Web application development experience using Servlets,  JSP, and various web frameworks such as Struts, JSF, etc
  • Database skills ideally with SQL, JDBC, persistence frameworks (Hibernate, JPA)
  • Experience with one or more applications servers, such as GlassFish, Resin , Jboss, Weblogic, Tomcat, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience with modern software development processes and practices, including full life cycle experience
  • Experience with AJAX and other Web 2.0 presentation layer technologies highly desired

 

Technical Support Coordinator

The Technical Customer Support Coordinator is responsible for providing direct customer service and training for our product and also troubleshooting connectivity issues on both wired/wireless networks. This support is provided online, via phone, and through creation/maintenance of technical support documentation. In addition, this position will monitor status of deployed units, dispatch parts and field service orders, initiate data uploads, and support Engineering with network operations and server maintenance. This is an ideal position for an energetic, customer service-oriented, technically savvy, go-getter willing to learn and achieve in a rapid growth phase of a smaller company.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support for customer installations, existing implementations, and repairs resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Provide customers with day to day technical support, manage cases via online tool, and provide online training for user administrators, end-users and channel partner customer service/field service departments
  • Support daily operations, customer requests, order fulfillment, field service, returns management, networking/connectivity obstacles, and troubleshooting
  • Develop/update technical documents and procedures for Customer Service and Field Service
  • Support Engineering with backups, network monitoring, IP provisioning, url provisioning and SSL certification applications, and other product related maintenance issues

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working directly with customers in a technical customer service role and comfort/skill with conducting technical trainings to individuals and small groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong emphasis on service and customer relations
  • Can multi-task and excel in fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Understanding of TCP/IP Networking and ability to assist clients with telnet tests, ping test and diagnosing network issues
  • Ability to create and edit technical instructions and publications
